The process:

Before you book we'll have a brief chat over email (or if you'd rather, I can give you a call) to discuss your requirements, and what you're looking for in a wedding film. Once you've decided that I'm the filmmaker for you I will send you a booking form and contract to fill out and send back to me. A 25% deposit is payable at this point, and then the day is yours!

About a month or two before the wedding (where possible) we will meet up for a brew and a chat to run through all the fine details of the day including timings and logistics. It goes without saying that if I haven't been to your venue before I will do my research beforehand to familarise myself with the space. A rough idea of the layout is useful, but a recce isn't necessary.

My approach is first and foremost documentary, which means candid, natural and totally un-staged, without compromising on aesthetics. I work best when I'm 'in the moment' without too many pre-conceived ideas about where or how I'm going to shoot. Natural light is a filmmakers best friend, and it changes throughout the year, from day to day and even throughout the day. Knowing how to use it to our advantage in any given situation is the secret to capturing high quality footage.

My approach to filming is documentary/reportage/candid -in essence it's about being a part of the day and capturing the experience as it happens. I won't stage anything or ask you to do anything twice, I will remain present and in the moment with you, your family and friends.

Your ceremony and speeches will always be filmed using a 2 camera set-up and delivered to you as self contained films, edited together in real time. Your feature film will contain highlights from your ceremony and footage from throughout the rest of the day, your morning preparations, venue details, drinks reception, confetti, entertainment, the bar, the food, the dancing... all the elements brought together in a way that is creative, yet true to the day.
